Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect at my first appointment?

First, our friendly reception team will ask you to fill

out a medical history form and confirm all of your details. This ensures we have the correct information to recommend appropriate treatment that is personalised and suitable for you.

Next, your dentist will discuss with you any concerns you may have before examining your teeth, gums, and jaw.

During this exam, your dentist will note any previous dental work in your chart and will also note any areas of concern to discuss with you later.

Depending on your situation, your dentist may take several x-rays of your teeth and jaw or perform other screening procedures.

Everyone is different, and we personalise your appointment for the most appropriate treatment.

If you’re happy to proceed, your dentist may also perform a professional clean and fluoride treatment to remove any plaque build-up, reduce staining, and help to protect your teeth.

Your dentist will then discuss the results of the exam with you and create a treatment plan. We encourage our patients to take part in this process, to ensure you’re 100% confident and comfortable with any treatment we plan.

Ask any questions you may have – there’s no such thing as a silly question!

How often should I visit the dentist?

Regular dental check-ups are important for everyone, as they give your dentist the chance to detect and treat any problems early – before they cause you discomfort.

Treating an issue early, or perhaps even preventing it entirely, can help to avoid the need for major treatment, saving you money and time.

Everyone is different, and your dentist may recommend visiting every 6-12 months, depending on your circumstances.

If you haven’t had a dental check-up in two or more years, it might be time to come and see us! Give our friendly team a call to book in on 02 4950 9221.

How much will my insurance cover?

Every health fund covers different amounts for different treatments.

Once your dentist has worked with you to create a personalised treatment plan, our friendly reception team will be able to create a quote from your health fund using your healthcare card through our HICAPS machines.

This will allow you to make fully informed decisions regarding your dental care.

Do you offer the Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS)?

Families can get up to $1000 of dental care covered for each eligible child over two years.

We are very happy to be able to offer no gap treatments for those eligible for the CDBS.

Our friendly reception team are able to check your eligibility and remaining balance using your Medicare card. Give us a call today on 02 4950 9221.
